Description


This impressive antique George IV sterling silver entrée dish has a circular plain rounded form.


The entrée dish and cover are ornamented with applied gadroon decorated borders.


The surface of this entrée dish is plain and unembellished.


This fine antique entrée dish is fitted with a deep circular cover which retains the original hallmarked reed decorated leaf and stem design key fitting detachable handle.


The handle is also ornamented with a fine gadrooned border.


This exceptional entrée dish was crafted by the very collectable and renowned London silversmith Paul Storr.


Date: 1823

Condition


This antique entrée dish is an exceptional gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

There are minor surface scratches to the dish in keeping with age.

The dish is in presentation condition.

The gadroon decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks to the exterior of the base, and interior of the cover are very clear.

Part hallmarks to the underside of the handle are very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of Paul Storr silverware.
