Description

This impressive antique Victorian sterling silver four piece tea and coffee service consists of a coffee pot, teapot, cream jug and sugar bowl.

Each piece of this fine set has a baluster shaped form in the Louis style onto four shaped feet.

The panelled body of each piece is embellished with exceptional chased floral sprays accented with vertical sections of trellis ornamentation.

The decoration to each piece incorporates vacant shaped cartouche to either side.

Each component of this exceptional tea set is encompassed with an applied scrolling border to the subtly flared rim.

Both the coffee pot and teapot are fitted with domed hinged hallmarked covers embellished with arched panels incorporating a single floral and foliate design.

The covers retain the original fine and impressive hallmarked sterling silver finials realistically modelled in the form of eagles.

Each piece is fitted with impressive hallmarked, S scroll handles ornamented with exceptional chased leaf decoration, incorporated into scrolling thumbpieces and to the upper and lower sockets.

The teapot and coffee pot are both fitted with impressive swan necked spouts ornamented with exceptional chased floral decoration with a large panelled portion of leaf texture to the shaped socket.

The components of this impressive sterling tea and coffee service are supported by four scroll and leaf decorated bracket style feet.

The cream jug and sugar bowl retain the original gilded interiors.
