SOLD - Sterling Silver ‘Frog’ Pin Cushion – Antique Edwardian

Description

This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver pin cushion has been realistically modelled in the form of a frog.

The body retains the original cushion forming the back of the frog; the cushion shows signs of wear in keeping with age.

Date: 1907

Condition

This antique pin cushion is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

There are some minor surface blemishes as expected in keeping with age.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body are rubbed, the assay office mark can be determined under a 10x magnification eyeglass and the maker’s mark is partially rubbed but legible under an eyeglass, the passant mark and date letter remain clear.

Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of this piece of Edwardian silverware.
