Description


This fine George V basket has an oval boat shaped form onto four scrolling leaf decorated, bracket style feet.


The body of the basket is embellished with scrolling leaf pierced decoration.


There are two shaped vacant cartouches. One to either side of this fine basket.


The shaped rim of this antique basket is ornamented with an applied scroll decorated border.


The oval shaped well of the basket is plain and unembellished.


The basket is fitted with two cast sterling silver opposing scroll decorated handles.


Date: 1926

Condition


This George V sterling silver basket is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

The applied decoration remains very sharp.

The basket has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the basket are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of George V silverware.
