SOLD - Sterling Silver Mustard Pot - Antique George V

This antique George V English sterling silver mustard pot has a plain cylindrical subtly tapering form onto a spreading collet style base, in the style of a Charles II flat lidded tankard.

There is a plain moulded border to the upper rim.

This fine mustard pot retains the original hinged hallmarked stepped cover surmounted with an impressive shaped tri-lobed thumbpiece.

The hinge is decorated with a simplified pendant drop style ornamentation.

This fine example of antique silverware has a plain shaped handle.

The mustard pot is fitted with a removable blue glass liner.

This George V mustard pot is supplied with an associated fully hallmarked sterling silver mustard spoon.

Date: 1920

This antique mustard pot is a very good gauge of silver, very good quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The full hallmarks to the body show signs of wear due to their location but remain legible, in keeping with age.

Part hallmarks to the cover and full hallmarks to the reverse of the spoon are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique silverware.
