Description

This fine set of antique sterling silver napkin rings consists of six napkin rings, each with a circular form.

The surface of these Victorian napkin rings is ornamented with applied buckle frame, prong and anchor.

Each napkin ring is further embellished with bright cut engraved floral and strapwork style decoration, incorporating a vacant shield shaped cartouche to the opposing side to the buckle.

This fine set of Victorian napkin rings is fitted to the original hinged leatherette box, with a velvet and satin lined interior and securing with a push fit catch.

Date: 1868

Condition

These antique napkin rings are a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The decoration to each napkin ring is very crisp.

The original box is in very good condition in keeping with age; the brass button to release the catch is missing however the catch does still work.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each napkin ring are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these pieces of antique silverware.
