Description


This fine set of antique Victorian sterling silver napkin rings consists of six napkin rings, each with a circular cylindrical form.


The surface of each napkin ring is embellished with a fine and impressive bright cut engraved undulating branch design with stylised floral and foliate decoration.


The decoration to the napkin rings incorporate two shaped vacant cartouches accented with a bright cut engraved bird to one side of each.


This fine set of antique napkin rings is fitted to the original hinged leatherette presentation box, with a velvet and satin lined interior.


Date: 1889

Condition


These antique napkin rings are a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

The box does not secure closed with the push fit catch, but is in excellent condition in keeping with age.

The bright cut engraved decoration to each napkin ring is very crisp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each napkin ring are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these examples of Victorian silverware.
