This exceptional antique George V sterling silver sugar box has been realistically modelled in the form of a pheasant cock.


This antique silver sugar box is embellished with chased decoration reproducing the details of the cock’s plumage and comb.


This piece retains the original fully hallmarked push fit cover/head.


Such original period pieces are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.


Date: 1925

Condition


This antique silver sugar box is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The chased decoration is very sharp.

Full import hallmarks struck to the surface of the pheasant’s neck and to the sleeve of the cover are all very clear.
