Description


This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver photograph frame has a shaped rectangular form with a domed upper portion.


The upper portion of the frame is embellished with embossed laurel and ribbon decoration to each corner and a central shaped cartouche displaying a bulldog’s head bordered with ‘The Palatine & Counties Bulldog Club’.


The lower portion is embellished with scrolling ribbon decoration to each corner with a further shaped cartouche to the centre which bears the Royal Coat of Arms of England.


This piece of antique silverware is fitted with an oak hinged back and strut, secured with two swivel catches.


This fine Edwardian piece is inset with a removable glass panel.

Condition


This antique photograph frame is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

The embossed decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique silverware.
