Description


This fine antique Victorian sterling silver photograph frame has a shaped rectangular form with a rectangular internal window.


The photograph frame is embellished with fine and impressive embossed scrolling leaf decoration accented with floral motifs.


The decoration to the domed upper portion and lower edge of this sterling frame incorporates scroll bordered shaped vacant cartouches.


This impressive antique frame retains the original velvet back and hinged strut, secured with a swivel catch.


This fine Victorian piece is inset with a removable glass panel.

Condition


This antique sterling frame is a very good gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The velvet covering to the back of the frame is in excellent presentation condition in keeping with age.

The embossed decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the frame are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Victorian silverware.
