Description


This fine antique George V sterling silver candlestick has a plain cylindrical form to a square swept base.


The circular capital is encircled with an applied bead decorated border.


The swept base is embellished with further bead decoration above a collet style rim.


This sterling silver candlestick has a weighted base, as to be expected, and is fitted with green baize to the underside.


Date: 1924

Condition


This antique piano candlestick is a very good gauge of silver and fine quality.

There are some minor surface blemishes to the column and base; this candlestick can be considered to be in very good condition, in keeping with age.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the rim are all clear; the top portion of the assay mark, lion passant and date letter have wear, in keeping with age and location, but remain legible.


Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique silverware.
