Description


This antique sterling silver punch / champagne bowl has a plain circular form onto a circular spreading foot.


The body of the bowl is plain and unembelished.


The Monteith style, scroll decorated rim of this Edwardian bowl is embellished with applied corn husk festoon decoration, accented with detailed applied masks.


To one side of this very fine and impressive Edwardian bowl there is a bright cut engraved crest depicting a cockerel.


The well of this antique punch bowl is plain and unembellished.


The bowl was crafted by Charles Stuart Harris & Sons, and retailed by Wilson and Co.


Date: 1904

Condition


This Edwardian bowl is an exceptional gauge of silver, fine quality and in exceptional condition.

The bowl has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The bright cut engraved decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the bowl are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique silverware.
