Description


This impressive antique George V sterling silver sauceboat has an oval rounded form onto a collet foot, all in the George II style.


The surface of the body is plain and encompassed with an applied thread decorated girdle.


This upper rim of this fine sauceboat has a Chippendale style, shaped rim.


The George V sauceboat is fitted with a scroll handle with a bifurcating lower terminal and impressive scrolling waterleaf decorated thumbpiece.


The foot is embellished with further thread decoration.


Date: 1934

Condition


This fine antique sauceboat is an exceptional gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

The sauceboat has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the sauceboat are very clear.
