This Victorian tea kettle retains the original hallmarked hinged opposing scroll handle accented with singular chased decorated leaf designs.

The domed handpiece is embellished with bright cut engraved interlacing scrolling leaf decoration, graduating in size from the centre to the outer terminals .

The handle features cast and applied scrolling acanthus leaf style decorated terminals.

The kettle has a swan necked spout ornamented with further bright cut engraved scrolling leaf decoration to the lower portion, in addition to an applied singular scrolling leaf design to the lip.

The tea kettle detaches from the impressive original hallmarked stand with four fine and impressive S scroll legs accented with further singular leaf designs to the upper portion and shell decorated feet.

The legs of the stand are interconnected with fine shaped pierced scroll and stylised leaf decoration.

The stand incorporates a plain frame which retains the original hallmarked detachable spirit burner.

This Victorian tea kettle is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The chased, pierced and applied decoration is very sharp and the bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the kettle, underside of the burner and surface of the stand, in addition to the part hallmarks to the cover and handle of the kettle are all very clear, in keeping with age.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of Victorian teaware.
