Description


This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver teapot has a plain oval rounded form onto a collet style base.


The body of the teapot is embellished with vertical incurved embossed bands.


The shaped waisted shoulders of the teapot are ornamented with an applied gadroon decorated border.


This antique teapot is fitted with a hallmarked domed hinged cover surmounted with the original carved painted wood and sterling silver finial.


This teapot retains the original plain angular carved painted wood handle featuring a plain scrolling thumbpiece and panelled sterling silver sockets.


This fine Edwardian teapot is fitted with a plain swan necked spout.


Date: 1909

Condition


This antique teapot is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

The interior of the teapot has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the teapot and part hallmarks to the interior of the cover are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of Edwardian teaware.
