Description


This fine antique Victorian sterling silver toast/letter rack has a Gothic style form.


The toast rack has six compartments divided by a pierced arch style frame supporting a central Gothic style pierced decorated carrying handle.


The rectangular plain cut cornered base has a plain central hallmarked strut.


The rack is supported by four stylised leaf and shell bracket style feet.


This fine example of antique silverware has been crafted by the renowned London silversmiths Joseph Angell I & Joseph Angell II.


Date: 1894

Condition


This antique rack is an extremely good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside are all very clear.


Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of this example of Victorian silverware.
