Description


This fine Georgian sterling silver tray has a plain oval form with a swept reed decorated border.


The loop handles at either end of the tray are also embellished with thread decoration as well as being ornamented with applied overlapping acanthus leaf decoration.


To the centre of the tray surface is a contemporary bright cut engraved shield shaped cartouche which displays a stag's head crest.


The tray is supported by four Neo-classical style, scroll decorated feet.


This tray is shown with a three piece tea service for illustrative purposes only.

The tea service may be purchased independently from the AC Silver inventory.

Condition


This fine antique Georgian tray is an extremely good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside are all very clear.
