Description


This fine antique European sterling silver and enamel box has a plain circular form.


The sides and hinged hallmarked cover of the box are ornamented with fine and impressive blue guilloche enamel panels, which reflect wavy concentric ring designs, emanating from the centre of the cover.


The enamel panels are framed by a narrow silver border, incorporating a plain rounded thumbpiece to the front of the cover.


The underside of the box is ornamented with impressive engine turned decoration paralleling the concentric ring design to the cover.


The interior of this impressive box retains the original gilding.

This antique enamel box is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The box has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The enamel panels are in perfect condition.

The purity/standard mark ‘STERLING’ struck to the sleeve of the cover is very clear.
