Description


This fine and impressive George IV sterling silver and ivory handled bread/fruit dish has a rectangular, rounded, shaped form onto a domed rectangular spreading foot.


The surface of the dish is unembellished.


The dish is fitted with impressive turned ivory handles to either end.


Each handle features a plain band of strapping and cross decorated terminals.


This antique dish is crafted in the same style as W6658, the two items would sit very well together as a composite pair.


Date: 1938

Condition


This antique bread dish is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

The fruit dish has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the bread dish are very clear.


Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of these items.
