This fine antique Victorian sterling silver fruit set consists of a fruit knife, corer and nut pick.

The hallmarked sterling silver corer has a plain rounded form and the nut picker has a shaped curved form.

The plain hinged blade of the fruit knife pivots and is contained within the handle.

Each piece retains the original carved ivory handle accented with protruding modules.

The fruit knife has an engraved scrolling leaf ferrule and the handpiece is fitted with a rectangular vacant cartouche.

This antique fruit set is fitted to the original hinged leatherette box with satin and velvet lined interior, securing with a push fit catch.

Date: 1893


This antique silver fruit set is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

The engraved decoration is very crisp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each blade are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this antique silver fruit set.
