A fine, impressive and unusual set of four antique Japanese silver vases; an addition to our antique Asian silverware collection

Description

These fine antique Japanese silver vases have a gourd shaped form with a waisted and flared fluted neck.

The upper portion of the body of each vase is embellished with embossed and chased chrysanthemum flowers and leaf decoration onto a matte background.

The lower portion of each vase is ornamented with embossed fluted decoration and a conical shaped terminal.

These impressive vases are each supported by three bamboo effect legs.

Each vase has a gilt interior.

As is common with such pieces there are no hallmarks; a date and origin can be determined from their composition and decoration.

Condition

These Japanese vases are a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent and presentation condition.

The decoration to each piece is very sharp.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these items of Asian silverware.
