A fine set of four antique Georgian English sterling silver cauldron salts; an addition to our silverware range

Description

The pieces of this fine set of four antique George II sterling silver salts have a cauldron shaped form onto three very impressive lion mask and claw and ball feet.

Each salt is embellished with a bright cut engraved crest depicting a cockerel below the motto 'Droit'.

Each salt is numbered to the underside however these markings are not legible.

Condition

These impressive salts are a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of each salt show signs of wear, though each set is legible apart from the centrally struck makers mark.

Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of these items.
