A fine antique Victorian three silver plated, cut glass bottle tantalus; part of our silverware collection
Description
This fine tantalus has a rectangular electroplated stand.
The frame has pierced decoration with a vacant cartouche to either side.
The stand is supported by four bracket style feet with chased antelope heads framed and bordered with bead decoration.
The domed hinged carrying handle has pierced decorated scrolling stylised flower head embellishments and engraved leaf decoration.
The frame is retains the three original rectangular, cut cornered, plain and hobnail cut glass decanters.
The decanters all retain the original faceted globular cut glass stoppers.
There is a star cut design to the base of each decanter.
Condition
This fine tantalus is very good quality and in excellent condition.
The decanters are in original condition.
Hallmarks struck to the underside of the stand and to the foot are all clear.
