An antique Victorian English silver plated and mother of pearl fish service for twelve persons; an addition to our silverware collection

Description

This service has electroplated blades and tines.

The knife blades have engraved foliate decoration to the surface and are plain to the reverse.

The service is fitted with the original hallmarked sterling silver ferrules and mother of pearl handles.

The set is contained in the original hinged mahogany box with brass fittings.

The box has a velvet an satin lined interior.

Condition

This service is very good quality and in excellent condition.

Three of the mother of pearl handles have natural imperfections (see image).

Full hallmarks struck to the ferrules of each piece are very clear, as are the electroplate marks struck to the blades.

The mahogany box is also in very good condition in keeping with its age.
