Description

This very good George VI sterling silver vintage two piece christening set consists of an egg cup and spoon.

The Art Deco style egg cup has a circular form with a circular spreading foot.

The body of the egg cup and handle of the spoon are embellished with engine turned decoration.

There is a rectangular vacant cartouche to the anterior face of the egg cup.

The pieces of this vintage christening set are fitted to the original rectangular hinged Art Deco style leatherette presentation box.

The box has a velvet and satin lined interior.

Condition

The pieces of this vintage christening set are a very good gauge of silver, very good quality and in excellent condition.

The set has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the egg cup and to the reverse of the spoon are all very clear.

Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of this vintage silverware.
