A fine antique Edwardian English sterling silver bachelor teapot in the George I style; part of our silver teaware collection


Description


This fine Edwardian sterling silver bachelor teapot has a pear shaped form on to a circular colet foot.


The teapot has been crafted in the George I style, with a shaped, carved painted wood handle, a plain and unembellished body and a plain swan necked spout.


This antique teapot is fitted with a hinged domed hallmarked cover which is surmounted with a cast silver baluster shaped finial.


Condition


This antique bachelor teapot is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the rim of the cover, are all very clear - those struck to the surface of the body are slightly rubbed, but legible.


Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique silverware.
