Description

This fine antique George V sterling silver boudoir clock has a plain rectangular form onto four bun feet.

The surface of this piece is plain and unembellished, apart from an applied textured border to the anterior and upper faces.

This impressive clock is fitted with a hallmarked scrolling swing carrying handle.

The cream enamel dial is ornamented with black hour Roman numerals, encircled with a plain black chapter ring with minute markers.

The clock face is visible through a circular glass 'window' with a plain silver border.

The hallmarked hinged door to the reverse opens to reveal eight-day French movement.

The door has a very subtle thumbpiece to facilitate opening.

Condition

This antique sterling silver boudoir clock is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

The timepiece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The movement has been professionally serviced, and the clock sold with a twelve month guarantee (after this period assistance with maintenance can be provided if required).

Full hallmarks struck to the interior rim of the clock, and part hallmarks struck to the handle and to the hinged door are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this antique silverware.
