Description

This vintage sterling silver claret jug has a ewer form onto a circular domed foot.

The neck and foot of the claret jug are encircled with a band of simple decoration in relief.

This vintage claret jug is fitted with an impressive chased decorated acanthus leaf scrolling handle.

This fine claret jug has a plain hallmarked domed hinged cover surmounted by a cast bud style finial.

Condition

This vintage claret jug is an exceptional gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

The claret jug has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The chased decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the jug and part hallmarks struck to the cover are all very clear.
