A very fine and impressive unusual antique Victorian English sterling silver coffee pot; part of our silverware collection


Description


This impressive Victorian sterling silver coffee pot has a baluster shaped form onto a circular spreading foot.


This fine antique coffee pot is embellished with bands of circle diaper work.


The body is ornamented with two bands of bead decoration.


The foot is also encircled with a bead decorated border.


This fine and unusual coffee pot is fitted with a hinged hallmarked cover.


The chased decoration cover retains the original sterling silver urn shaped, bead decorated, hallmarked finial.


The Victorian coffee pot is fitted with a plain handle, and a chased decorated swan necked spout.


This piece was made by the renowned London silversmiths Hunt & Roskell.


Condition


This antique coffee pot is an excellent gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The chased decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the coffee pot, and park hallmarks struck to the cover, handle and finial are very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Victorian silverware
