A magnificent, fine and impressive, large antique Edwardian English sterling silver cup and cover; an addition to our silver presentation collection

SKU A8363

This magnificent Edwardian sterling silver champagne/presentation cup has a plain circular bell shaped form to a circular domed spreading foot.

The lower portion of this large antique cup is encompassed with impressive chased alternating fluted decoration in a swirl design, below a matte scalloped border and band of floral motifs.

This versatile Edwardian trophy cup retains the exceptional, original hallmarked domed push fit cover surmounted with a very impressive cast silver fluted globular finial.

The cover is further ornamented with two bands of chased fluted decoration, identical to that of the body.

This large cup is fitted with two exceptional S scroll handles with plain thumbpieces and lobed designs to the handpieces.

This Edwardian cup is fitted to the original circular painted wood plinth, encircled with a bespoke vacant silver inscription band; the band may be engraved with a personal inscription if so desired.

This cup is a large example of its type and if required could be used as a wine/bottle cooler.

This impressive presentation piece was crafted by the renowned London silversmith Charles Stuart Harris.
