A fine antique Edwardian English sterling silver four piece tea and coffee service / set; part of our silver teaware collection


Description


This antique sterling silver four piece tea and coffee service / set consists of a teapot, coffee jug, sugar bowl and cream jug.


The pieces of this fine antique Edwardian tea and coffee service have an oval boat shaped form with plain inset corners, onto an oval spreading foot.


The body of each piece is embellished with bright cut engraved floral and scrolling leaf decoration.


The shaped, flared rim to the sugar bowl and cream jug is plain and unembellished.


The rim of the teapot and the coffee jug are ornamented with bright cut engraved floral decoration.


The teapot and coffee jug are fitted with floral bright cut engraved, hallmarked hinged covers, which retain the original thread decorated urn shaped finials.


The swan necked teapot spout is embellished with floral and scrolling leaf bright cut engraved decoration.


The pieces of this antique tea ware set are fitted with thread decorated C scroll handles.


The cream jug and sugar bowl retain their original gilt interiors.


This fine Edwardian sterling silver service is displayed on a tray for illustrative purposes only - the tray, or similar, may be purchased separately from the AC Silver inventory.

Condition


The pieces of this antique sterling silver four piece tea and coffee set are a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each piece, and part hallmarks struck to the cover of the teapot and the coffee jug, and to the handles of each piece are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique Edwardian silverware.
