Description

This very good antique George VI sterling silver golf trophy has been realistically crafted in the form of a golf ball and three golf clubs displayed on a circular base.

Both the golf ball and golf clubs are embellished with chased decoration.

The sterling silver pieces are supported on a circular green marble effect synthetic base with a vacant shaped sterling silver cartouche to one side.

Condition

This antique sterling silver golf trophy is a very good gauge of silver, very good quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The chased decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the golf ball and part hallmarks to the cartouche are very clear; the maker’s mark to the cartouche is rubbed.

Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique silverware.

Neither the video nor the images illustrate the true colour of the base of this trophy due to recording anomalies outside our control.
