Description

The pieces of this fine antique George VI sterling silver four piece tea and coffee service have a plain panelled form onto a colet foot.

Each piece of this fine tea and coffee service is embellished with engraved decoration in an Art Deco geometrical style.

The tea pot and coffee pot are fitted with flush hinged covers which are always a sign of quality.

The covers retain the original carved ivory and sterling silver finials in the angular Art Deco style.

The teapot and coffee pot are fitted with carved angular ivory handles in the Art Deco style .

The sugar bowl and cream jug are fitted with angular sterling silver handles in a similar style.

The coffee pot is fitted with a trunkated spout.

This fine antique four piece tea service is displayed on the tray for illustrative purposes only - the tray (W4686) may be purchased separately from the AC Silver inventory if so desired.

Condition

The pieces of this antique tea and coffee service is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

This George VI tea and coffee service has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The engraved decoration to each piece is very crisp.

Full hallmarks are struck to the surface of each piece and part hallmarks struck to the covers of the coffee pot and teapot.

All hallmarks are very clear with the exception of those struck to the coffee jug which are slightly rubbed but remain legible.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these items.
