Description

This exceptional vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver jewellery box has a plain rectangular form.

The surface of the body of this large piece is plain and unembellished.

This jewellery box is fitted with a hallmarked hinged cover featuring a plain thumbpiece.

The chamfered border of the cover is embellished with bright cut engraved scrolling leaf decoration.

The interior displays a bespoke navy blue velvet fitment which provides a central well, with a removable central tray for further storage, bordered by integrated ring holders at either side.

This impressive box has a weighted base with a leatherette cover to the underside.

Condition

This vintage jewellery box is a very good gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

This piece of vintage silverware has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The decoration to the cover is very crisp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the box and part hallmarks to the cover are all very clear.
