A very fine antique Victorian English sterling silver mustard pot; an addition to our silver dining collection

Description

This fine antique Victorian mustard pot has a drum shaped form onto a circular spreading foot.

The sterling silver body of the mustard pot is embellished with scrolling leaf and star embossed and engraved decoration.

The decoration to the body of the mustard pot incorporates three vacant oval cartouches each ornamented with a bead decorated border.

This mustard pot is fitted with a hallmarked hinged cover and surmounted with a silver urn style finial.

The fine mustard pot is fitted with an S scroll handle and a removable clear glass liner with a star cut base.

This Victorian mustard pot can be supplied with an appropriate sterling silver mustard spoon upon request.

Condition

This antique mustard pot is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the mustard pot and part hallmarks struck to the cover are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this item of Victorian silverware.
