Description

These exceptional antique George V sterling silver bon bon dishes have a circular rounded form onto a decorative pedestal and domed spreading foot.

The anterior surface of each dish is embellished with a chased laurel bordered cartouche to one side and a jockey horse racing scene to the other.

The swept rims of these bon bon dishes are encircled with an impressive applied laurel festoon decorated border.

The body of each dish surmounts a cast sterling silver baluster shaped pedestal encompassed with layered scrolling leaf ornamentation with a large flared, swept leaf design in junction with the body and base.

These pedestals each surmount a plain square weighted base.

The surface of each antique bon bon dish retains the original gilding.
