Description


This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver presentation bowl has a plain circular rounded form onto a circular spreading foot.


The upper portion of the body of the bowl is embellished with a broad shaped band of embossed floral and foliate decoration, all on a textured background.


Either side of the bowl incorporates a large scrolling vacant carthouche, reflecting the shaped design to the aforementioned band.


The rim of this James Deakin & Sons silver bowl and foot are encircled with plain applied moulded borders.


This fine example of antique silverware is fitted to the original circular painted wood plinth, encircled with a bespoke vacant silver inscription band; the band may be engraved with a personal inscription if so desired.

Condition


This antique presentation bowl is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The bowl has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The applied and embossed decoration is all very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the bowl are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
