Description

This fine Edwardian sterling silver presentation cup has a round bell shaped form onto a knopped stem and circular spreading foot.

The body of the cup is ornamented with bright cut engraved flowers and scrolling acanthus leaf decoration, accented with garlands and a lattice patterned band.

A band of bead decoration encircles the knopped stem and the rim of the foot.

The foot is also embellished with a band of bright cut engraved decoration in a repetitive trefoil design.

This Edwardian cup retains its original circular ebonised plinth with green baize to the underside.

Condition

This antique presentation cup is an excellent gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

The cup has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the cup are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Edwardian silverware.
