This large and impressive antique Edwardian sterling silver presentation rose bowl has a circular rounded, waisted form onto a domed spreading foot.
The body of the bowl is ornamented with six fairly plain panels, each displaying a large shaped scroll and acanthus leaf decorated vacant cartouche which extends from the foot of the bowl.
Narrower panels between each of the six wider ones are embellished with embossed and chased scrolling acanthus leaf and floral decoration.
The shaped rim of this large solid silver bowl is ornamented with embossed and chased opposing scroll decoration accented with acanthus leaf decoration.
A band of embossed and chased opposing scroll, flower and acanthus leaf decoration encircles the foot of this exceptional Edwardian bowl.
Condition
This impressive Edwardian bowl is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.
The bowl has been professionally polished, and is in presentation condition.
The chased decoration is very sharp.
Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the bowl are all very clear.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example Edwardian table silverware .
