A fine antique Georgian English sterling silver salver; part of our dining silverware collection

Description

This fine antique George III English sterling silver salver has an oval navette shaped form.

The salver is embellished with a band of dart style bright cut engraved decoration and a further band of symmetrical bright cut engraved decoration to the swept border.

There is a band of applied bead decoration to the rim of the salver and each terminalis ornamented with applied leaf decoration.

This fine Georgian salver is supported by four impressive bracket style batwing, palmette and bead decorated feet.

Condition

This antique salver is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the reverse are very clear.

Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of this item of Georgian silverware.
