This Georgian soup tureen is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

The applied and chased decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the rim of the foot are all very clear; hallmarks are deeply struck and sharp due to the exceptional gauge of silver.

The part hallmarks to the sleeve of the cover are also very clear with exception to the second portion of the maker's mark which is rubbed, in keeping with age and due to the location.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Georgian silverware.
