A fine and unusual antique Edwardian English sterling silver table lighter; an addition to our silverware collection


Description


This fine antique Edwardian Aladdin style table lighter has a traditional plain oil lamp form onto a plain circular spreading foot.


The upper surface of the body is embellished with a reed decorated border.


The lighter is fitted with an unusual 'horse's head' handle.


The lighter has a centrally located hallmarked push fit cover and associated hallmarked taper pin ornamented with a flame style finial.


Condition


This impressive antique table lighter / oil lamp is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the prow, and part hallmarks as expected, struck to the upper surface of the prow, cover and taper pin, are all clear.
