A fine antique Edwardian English sterling silver tea caddy made by Francis Higgins II; an addition to our silver teaware collection


Description


This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver tea caddy has an oblong rounded plain form.


The surface of this tea caddy is plain and unembellished apart from a plain, subtly curved and stepped embossed panel to the body.


This tea caddy retains the original hallmarked hinged dome cover, incorporating a shaped thumbpiece.


The tea caddy was crafted by the renowned London silversmith Francis Higgins II.


Condition


This antique Edwardian tea caddy is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the caddy, and part hallmarks to the interior of the cover are all very clear.


Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of this piece of Edwardian silverware.
