Description

This exceptional Victorian sterling silver teapot has a baluster onto four bracket style feet.

The lower portion of this large antique teapot, crafted in the Louis style, is embellished with impressive chased floral, leaf and scroll decoration.

This decoration incorporates a vacant shaped scroll decorated cartouche to either side of the teapot.

The flared shoulders of this Victorian teapot is ornamented with impressive an applied leaf and scroll decorated borders.

The teapot retains the original domed hallmarked cover, featuring an impressive scroll decorated hinge.

The cover is surmounted with the original wild rose and leaf finial.

The spout of this exceptional teapot has a shaped socket and is embellished with chased acanthus leaf decoration.

Condition

This antique teapot is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The chased decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the base and part hallmarks struck to the cover and handle are very clear.
