A fine antique Edward VIII English sterling silver three piece condiment set in the Art Deco style; an addition to our silverware collection

Description

The pieces of this fine Edward VIII sterling silver condiment set have a cauldron form in the Art Deco style, onto a colet foot.

The mustard pot retains the original hinged hallmarked cover, surmounted with a cylindrical finial in the Art Deco style.

The mustard pot had a removable blue glass liner and a hallmarked silver mustard spoon.

The pepper also retains the original hallmarked push fit cover.

The salt and the mustard pots are fitted with removable blue glass liners.

The salt and mustard spoons accompanying this fine cruet set are both fully hallmarked to the reverse.

Condition

This antique condiment set is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each piece, including both spoons, and part hallmarks struck to the covers of both the mustard and pepper are clear. The hallmarks to the salt pot are rubbed.
