Description

This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver tureen has a plain oval shaped form onto a plain oval spreading pedestal foot.

The surface of this piece of antique silverware is plain and unembellished.

The rim and foot of the tureen are ornamented with a thread decorated border.

This antique tureen retains the original hallmarked push fit domed cover, surmounted with an impressive sterling silver urn shaped finial in the Adams style.

The tureen is fitted with loop handles with bifurcating stylised leaf terminals.

Condition

This Edwardian sterling silver piece is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to surface and part hallmarks to the cover are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Edwardian silverware.
