This exceptional Victorian sterling silver tea tray has an oval form.
The surface of this fine example of antique silverware is embellished with a band of scrolling acanthus leaf bright cut engraved decoration accented with stylised shaped motifs.
The border encircling the central vacant oval cartouche and outer border around the surface of the tray are embellished with Arabesque style repetitive designs.
Both the swept rim and handles are ornamented with bead decoration.
This fine antique tea tray is supported on four applied rounded feet.
The tray is an exceptional example of its type.
The tray is shown with a four piece tea service for illustrative purposes only - the tea service (W4271 ) may be purchased separately from the AC Silver inventory.
Condition
This antique tray is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
The bright cut engraved decoration is as crisp as you could find.
Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the tray are very clear.
