Description

This impressive and collectable vintage George VI sterling silver bowl has a rounded quaich style form supported by a pedestal onto a circular spreading foot.

The body of the bowl is embellished with four colet set round cut citrines.

Each citrine is surrounded by an applied circular motif with engraved decoration in a Celtic Arts and Crafts manner.

The pedestal is embellished with a band of engraved Celtic style decoration accented with four cylindrical applied boss.

The circular spreading foot is ornamented with four colet set round cut citrines within a band of engraved Celtic style decoration.

This unusual, large quaich bowl has a plain handle to either side.

Condition

This vintage bowl is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

This George VI bowl has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the bowl are very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Georgian silverware.
