This fine perfumiere has an oval casket style form onto a swept oval plain base.
The body has a broad central band of pink guilloche enamel bordered by a handpainted floral design of blue, purple and pink flowerheads on a green background.
The hallmarked hinged oval cover has a plain sterling silver border.
The surface of the cover is decorated with a broad oval band of pink guilloche enamel and handpainted floral design.
The perfumiere is fitted with plain hallmarked hinged handles at either end.
The perfumiere opens to reveal the original hallmarked silver gilt and pink guilloche enamel fittings.
The contents include a central oval plain cylindrical hair clip tidy with a hinged hallmarked pink guilloche cover, four cylindrical silver gilt and enamel, hallmarked perfume bottles, a pair of silver gilt ovoidal shaped containers with push fit covers, and a pair of urn style hallmarked containers with push fit covers with ladle style scoops.
The perfume bottles have pink guilloche decorated screw covers which open to reveal glass scent bottles with push fit stoppers.
Condition
This fine and unusualimported enamel and silver piece is a very good gauge of silver, very good quality and in excellent condition.
The enamel is in perfect condition.
The silver gilt containers show signs of wear in keeping with their age.
Full hallmarks are struck to the rim of the body and 935 struck to each individual fitment.
The hallmarks are clear.
