The pieces of this impressive antique Victorian sterling silver carving set are fitted with fine carved ivory handles.
Each piece of this fine carving set retains the original hallmarked sterling silver mount.
Each mount is embellished with embossed leaf and berry decoration incorporating a vacant oval bead decorated cartouche to either side.
The pieces of this carving set retain the original hallmarked sterling silver ferules.
Each piece is fitted with a steel blade made by Joseph Haywood Co, Sheffield.
This Victorian five piece carving set is fitted to the original hinged oak presentation box.
The box features brass fittings including a vacant shield shaped cartouche to the front cover in addition to two push fit catches.
The interior satin and velvet lining of the box features the retailers mark of Joseph Haywood Co, Sheffield.
Condition
This antique carving set is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.
The embossed decoration is very sharp.
Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each piece are very clear.
